A portfolio of one-day in-house workshops to improve your organisation’s performance
The workshops
are very practical and tailored to your needs, to produce
specific agreed results. We
practice the principles covered with small groups of participants, applying
them to your organisation’s own problems. Skills required in programs, projects and in on-going business operations improvement are addressed, especially where organisation change is desired. |

|
Description |
| Implementing Strategy | An examination of the systemic reasons for failure of strategic initiatives; introduction to some systems-based tools and technique to raise understanding of how to set up initiatives for success, and a framework for managing successful initiatives. |
|
Business
process design & implementation |
Business
benefits from IT system implementations are often under-realised due
to simplistic assumptions about process changes. This workshop examines how business benefits can be improved by
a process innovation approach. |
|
Scenario
Planning |
Businesses
typically plan for the most likely future.
‘The only certainty is that the future will be different to what
you expect’. The best strategies
are the ones that can adapt to a range of possible futures. This workshop shows how to determine scenarios and select the
best strategies. |
|
Systems
mapping |
Based
on the powerful tool popularised by Peter Senge, this workshop provides
a basic understanding of how to assemble system maps (sometimes called
causal loop diagrams). System
maps are invaluable in communicating and creating a common understanding
of complex high-level business systems. |
|
Implementing
Program Management |
We
firstly distinguish the different focus of Programs compared to Projects
– how Projects are about delivery and Programs about making sense of
the complexity and uncertainty in the business environment and how it
impact upon projects. We then consider the processes and techniques
used by programs to manage in this environment. Then finally we review
the skills required and the steps to implementing this approach in your
organisation. |
|
Change management |
Leaders
often take on ownership of strategic change management programmes because
of their role. Change management
is different from operational management, and is also different from
project management. This workshop
highlights the approach, tools and techniques used for managing successful
change programmes |
|
